Presby Enviro Septic

Presby Enviro Septic is a type of absorption system and secondary treatment system that utilizes 12″ dia. perforated pipes that are wrapped with a special fabric.  This fabric promotes and host bacterial growth.  Once established, this bacterial (a controlled bio-mat) will help to clean the effluent as it passes through the fabric.

Presby’s announced in December of 2009 that their Advanced Enviro-septic had received NSF Standard 40 certification.

The Eviro-Septic is still fairly new to Indiana.  The system is approved by the Indiana State Department of Health but also requires local health department approval to be installed.

The following are pictures from an Enviro Septic installation in Marshall County by Northwest Excavating from Nappanee.  Meade Septic Design, Inc. is certified by Presby to conduct design work in Indiana and designed this system.  This system was over-sized as part of a “test” install in Marshall County.  The normal Presby footprint is much smaller than this.  Contact me to find out about my Presby septic design services.
