The following link it to the Indiana Agriculture Regulatory Structure Task Force Report.  For a description of the report, review the Executive Summary on page four

The report proposes some huge changes to Indiana's residential septic program (listed on pages 19 and 20.)

The report recommends, "moving state authority for the residential septic program to IDEM"

This policy change is based on the incorrect notion that. "ISDH is only responsible for rules with respect to installation of residential septic systems. IDEM regulates the installation and operation
of commercial septic systems and municipal sewer systems."


Fortunately, this error has been pointed out (by many) to the IN Secretary of States Office.
