The report recommends,
"moving state authority for the residential septic program to IDEM".
This policy change is based on the incorrect notion that.
"ISDH is only responsible for rules with respect to installation of residential septic systems. IDEM regulates the installation and operation
of commercial septic systems and municipal sewer systems."Fortunately, this error has been pointed out (by many) to the IN Secretary of States Office.
