I have a dry well for my kitchen, and the rest of the house goes to the septic tank, should I have the kitchen routed to the septic system as well?

The kitchen dry well is backing up, and is it stinky!!

Also I was considering FROG plumbing for the job, are they good to use?

Per the State Rule governing septic systems, "sewage" means all water-carried waste derived from ordinary living processes.  This includes the waste from your kitchen sink and yes you need to connect this drain into your septic system and properly abandon your drywell. You can cut and paste the following web addresses into your browser for more information on abandonment:

http://www.stjosephcountyindiana.com/departments/sjchd/PDFs/Septic/Septic_faq.pdf

http://www.in.gov/isdh/22962.htm

Hope this helps.

Bill,

I concur with "The Queen".  You need to re-route your kitchen waste to your main system.  Hopefully, the extra water won't push your main system into failure, but you have no choice.

I'm not familiar with Frog but I don't want to this forum recommending or condemning contractors anyway.  I'm sure you understand.
